Who Are MFIN?

MFIN is a charity and a company limited by guarantee, first constituted in May 2004, and then becoming a company in April 2005.  We are run by a Board of Directors, which includes representatives from the local Citizens’ Advice Bureaux, Midlothian Advice & Resource Centre, Midlothian voluntary Action and other organisations who have an interest in financial inclusion.  The Board is supported by advisors from Midlothian Council’s Welfare Rights Team and the Regeneration Development Team.

MFIN’s objective, as outlined in its Memorandum of Association is:

To relieve poverty and to advance public education in all matters relating to the management of personal finances.

This website is designed to provide information on financial inclusion for Advisors working in this field and Members of the Public.

The next MFIN meeting will take place on Wednesday 30 May 2012 at 10am in Midlothian Voluntary Action, 4/6 White Hart Street, Dalkeith EH22 1AE.
